CBSE Launches Mental Wellness Campaign for Students Ahead of Exams

Schools receive new counselling guidelines aimed at reducing academic pressure and improving emotional support systems.

India, May 24 : The Central Board of Secondary Education launched a nationwide mental wellness initiative for students ahead of upcoming examinations. The programme focuses on stress management, emotional counselling and peer support systems.

Schools have been instructed to organise workshops for students and parents while increasing access to trained counsellors. Education specialists welcomed the move, noting growing concerns over anxiety and academic burnout among teenagers.

The campaign also encourages balanced study schedules and greater awareness regarding mental health challenges in schools.
