KATHUA, JULY 07: Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rahul Yadav today reiterated that Covid Appropriate Behaviour and Vaccination are the only potent tools to defeat Covid-19 and appealed to the people to cooperate with the administration by adhering to SOPs and taking vaccine doses.
Speaking during the weekly press briefing on the Covid situation, the DC said, with only 13 Covid positive cases, the district has touched over 98% of the Recovery Rate and is maintaining it from the last couple of weeks.
While explaining the vaccination scenario, the Deputy Commissioner stated that so far Hiranagar and Basohli medical blocks have achieved 100% inoculation target for 45 years and above category, while Medical Block Parole is also nearing the target.
Referring to the recent measures such as the launching of IEC campaign rate in Billawar and Bani Medical blocks, the Deputy Commissioner said with the active participation of PRIs the pace of Vaccination is has taken momentum in the last few days.
The DC also urged the people not to lower their guard against Covid-19 and follow the safety protocols properly. He further added that unnecessary travel, social gatherings, and functions shall be avoided to minimize the chance of any resurgence in Covid-19.
