JAMMU, Sept 24: The Jammu and Kashmir Government has confirmed the probation of 239 directly recruited Deputy Superintendents of Police (DySPs) from the 2011 to 2020 batches, officially regularising their services.
According to an order issued by the Home Department, the officers have been deemed to have satisfactorily completed their probation period under Rule 22(1)(a) of the J&K Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956, read with Rule 7 of the J&K Police (Gazetted) Service Recruitment Rules, 2024.
The list includes officers from multiple batches—ranging from 2011 through 2020 who are now fully confirmed in service. The decision marks a significant administrative step in strengthening the police force with trained and experienced officers across the Union Territory.
Officials said the confirmation not only secures the service status of these officers but also boosts morale within the ranks, ensuring better efficiency and accountability in maintaining law and order in Jammu and Kashmir.
