JAMMU, JANUARY 12: The major Canals viz Ranbir Canal, New Partap Canal, and Kathua Canal and its network have been closed for repair and de-silting works.
All the concerned Superintending Engineer & Executive Engineers have been directed to take up all the closure works (Desilting of Canals and urgent repairs of Canals and its network wherever necessary) etc. immediately and ensure its completion well before the recharge of the canals. The date of the opening of the canals will be notified separately.
