Aamir Khan Confirms OTT Release of Sitaare Zameen Par, 9 Months After Theatrical Run

SonyLIV to stream Aamir Khan’s latest film, marking its first Hindi theatrical debut on the platform

Mumbai, Mar 10 : Three years after expressing his displeasure over early OTT releases, Aamir Khan has finally confirmed that Sitaare Zameen Par will be available for streaming on SonyLIV, nine months after its theatrical debut. The film, directed by RS Prasanna, had initially been promised as an exclusive theatrical experience, with Khan emphasizing his opposition to the typical eight-week OTT window.

He also stated that the film would eventually make its way to streaming platforms.

The upcoming SonyLIV release will mark the platform’s first Hindi theatrical film premiere. While the exact streaming date is yet to be announced, the movie is expected to be available by the end of March.

The film stars Aamir Khan alongside Genelia Deshmukh, Ashish Pendse, Aroush Datta, Aayush Bhansali, Rishi Shahani, Gopikrishnan K Varma, Rishabh Jain, Vedant Sharma, Simran Mangeshkar, Samvit Desai, and Naman Misra, bringing together a diverse ensemble cast for this family drama.
