Adani Group Plans Over ₹1 Lakh Crore Investment in West Bengal

The conglomerate will invest across ports, logistics, power, roads and data centres by 2035, with a major healthcare project also planned in New Town.

Mumbai, Sep 25 : The Adani Group plans to invest more than ₹1 lakh crore in West Bengal by 2035, expanding its presence across ports, logistics, power, roads and data centres. The investment programme was announced by group chairman Gautam Adani on September 24.

The proposed expansion is expected to cover several infrastructure and industrial segments as the group seeks to strengthen its operations in the eastern state. The investment plan also includes a major healthcare project in New Town.

The group is developing a ₹4,000-crore hospital with a planned capacity of 2,000 beds. The project is expected to create around 10,000 jobs, adding a significant employment component to the wider investment programme.

The planned spending comes as West Bengal seeks to attract greater private investment into infrastructure and industrial development. Projects covering transport, energy and digital infrastructure could support the expansion of the state’s economic ecosystem.

The Adani Group has interests across several sectors, including infrastructure, energy, logistics and technology. Its proposed investments in West Bengal would broaden that footprint while adding capacity across multiple parts of the state economy.

The company has not indicated that all of the proposed investment will be deployed immediately. The programme extends through 2035 and covers several sectors, making the actual pace of implementation dependent on individual projects and investment decisions.
