Jammu, 12-10-2023 : In a comprehensive meeting addressing crime and security concerns, Shri Sunil Kumar, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Railways Jammu and Kashmir, convened at the Railway Police Headquarters in Jammu (Camp). The meeting witnessed the presence of key officials, including Sh. Mohan Lal Kaith, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Railways Jammu, Smt. Albeena Malik, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Railways Jammu, Sh. Naresh Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) GRP Lines Jammu, and Sh. Niaz Ahmed, Station House Officer (SHO) PS GRP Jammu.
The primary focus of this meeting was to conduct a thorough review of both existing and recent criminal cases, following which ADGP Railways issued essential directives and guidance to the attending officers with the aim of expeditious resolution of pending investigations. Special attention was given to expedite the resolution of these under-investigation cases to ensure swift justice.
Given the approaching festive season, which includes important events like Navratra and Deepawali, the officers received instructions to intensify patrolling and conduct rigorous inspections in their designated areas. Officers were also advised to carry out unannounced visits to crucial deployment points and sensitive locations, thereby assessing the overall security preparedness of the personnel responsible for maintaining security.
In light of the expected surge of passengers at the Railway Station in Jammu during the upcoming festive period, ADGP Railways Jammu and Kashmir underscored the necessity of strengthening the security deployment exclusively at the Railway Station in Jammu. The discussions in the meeting aimed to reinforce safety measures during this festive season, ensuring the well-being and security of all travelers and the general public.
