SRINAGAR, AUGUST 15: Assistant Exhibition & Cultural Officer (AECO) of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR), Syed Shakeel Andrabi, popularly known as Syed Shakeel Shan, was conferred with a prestigious Award of Excellence by the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah, on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day at the grand Independence Day function held at Bakhshi Stadium, Srinagar, in recognition of his outstanding work, professional excellence and multidimensional contribution to broadcasting, literature, culture and public communication.
The prestigious recognition acknowledges Shan’s sustained dedication, creative excellence and significant contribution across diverse fields. Over the years, he has established a distinctive identity through his versatility as a broadcaster, anchor, writer, poet, music composer and cultural activist, earning appreciation from administrative, literary, cultural and media circles.
Through his professional work with the Department of Information and Public Relations, Shan has played an important role in taking government initiatives, public-awareness campaigns and cultural programmes closer to the people.
