Patna, Oct 13: Bollywood actor and philanthropist Sonu Sood has announced that his upcoming film will be set in Bihar, highlighting his deep connection with his home state. Speaking to ANI, Sood expressed his love for Bihar:

“Apni mitti se ek alag hi lagaav hai… vapas aaya hu aur aata hi rahunga.”
Translating his words, he said, “There’s a special attachment to my soil. I’ve come back, and I’ll keep coming back.”

Sharing details about the project, Sood confirmed that filming will begin soon. “An event is going to happen soon, and we are about to start the shoot. Patna is my own land, and my next film is based on Bihar,” he said.

The announcement comes weeks ahead of the Bihar Assembly Elections 2025, scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results declared on November 14. The elections are set to be a key contest between the NDA and the INDIA bloc led by Tejashwi Yadav, alongside parties including the Congress, CPI(ML), CPI, CPM, and VIP, with political strategist Prashant Kishor debuting with Jan Suraaj.

When asked about the political scenario, Sood remained neutral, expressing hope for Bihar’s development: “Whoever wins, I just wish they make Bihar a better place.”

On the professional front, Sood continues to balance his film career and philanthropy. Known for roles in hits like ‘Jodhaa Akbar’ and ‘Simmba’, he recently made his directorial debut with the action thriller ‘Fateh’, featuring Naseeruddin Shah, Jacqueline Fernandez, Vijay Raaz, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya.

With his next project celebrating Bihar’s culture, Sonu Sood aims to showcase the state’s spirit while continuing his legacy of social work.
