Srinagar Sept 23: All India Congress Committee (AICC)General Secretary Dr. Syed Naseer Hussain (MP) alongwith J&K Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President Tariq Hameed Karra on Monday reviewed organizational affairs and activities in Kashmir province. Both the leaders discussed the current socio-political situation obtaining in the region with the Coordinators & District Presidents and Senior leaders of Congress.
Hussain who was on two days’ visit of Kashmir region, held a meeting with District Coordinators, District Presidents and Senior leaders of the Party at Srinagar Party headquarter and sought feedback with regard to the party activities both National and State level, underway in the districts in Kashmir region.
The Coordinators & District Presidents briefed the AICC Gen Secretary about their performance and told him that they stand committed to strengthening the Party and continue working for the wellbeing of the public, who are confronted with multiple issues due to the dual control of State of affairs. They also apprised him (AICC Gen Secretary) that their endeavor is to reach every place in their respective districts for public mobilization. They also apprised AICC Incharge that people highly appreciate Congress party’ s proactive role and believe in its’ policies and programmes, for the fact, the Party is working tireless to reach out to people and highlight their issues for resolutions
Hussain received complete feedback from the coordinators and district Presidents with respect to their activities for the last six months and expressed satisfaction over the party’s performance. He also appreciated JKPCC for launching the Hamari Riyasat Hamaraq “Movement” for restoration of Statehood to J&K.
The meeting also focused on various significant issues including performance-based restructuring of the organization and laid emphasis over further rejuvenating the activities at grass roots including in far-flung areas in J&K.
Speaking on the occasion, Karra laid emphasis over further strengthening the Party’s significant movement under the movement Hamari Riyasat Hamara Haq for restoration of Statehood and urged them to follow all National programmes in their districts strictly. People have expectations from Congress given the Party’s stand on Statehood and its uncompromising fight for safeguarding people’s rights.
