Akhilesh Yadav Condoles Ayodhya Blast Victims, Criticizes BJP Over Incident

Samajwadi Party chief urges immediate medical aid for the injured and calls for a thorough probe into the Pagla Bhari explosion.

New Delhi, Oct 10 : Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday expressed grief over the Ayodhya blast that claimed five lives, including three children, and injured several others. In a statement, he said, “The news of five people dying due to a blast in Ayodhya is extremely sad. Immediate arrangements should be made for proper treatment of the injured, and an investigation should be conducted into the matter.”

The explosion occurred in a house in Pagla Bhari village under the Purakalandar police station area on Thursday, reportedly causing a house collapse. Preliminary investigations suggest a gas cylinder or pressure cooker blast as the possible cause. District authorities have launched a probe into the incident.

Yadav also criticized the BJP, stating, “Those who get cases against them dropped, with what face do they make accusations against others?” The remark is seen as a critique of alleged political practices related to accountability.

Local officials responded swiftly, providing aid to the injured, who are now undergoing treatment at the district hospital. The Samajwadi Party leader stressed the need for a thorough investigation to prevent such tragedies in the future.
