Akshay Kumar Begins Shooting for Alien Survival Thriller Samuk

The actor has started filming the ambitious project, which combines survival action with an alien themed storyline and international stunt expertise.

MUMBAI, Aug 25: Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar has begun shooting for Samuk, an ambitious survival action thriller built around an alien themed concept.

The project, which has reportedly been in development for more than two years, is being directed by Kanishk Varma and produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. The filmmakers are aiming to create a large scale genre film that combines science-fiction elements with intense action.

Samuk marks an unusual addition to Akshay Kumar’s filmography, with the actor taking on a project centered on survival and an extraterrestrial threat. The production is also bringing in international creature design and stunt teams to support its visual and action requirements.

Producer Vipul Amrutlal Shah has described the project as one of the toughest challenges of his career, highlighting the scale and technical demands involved in bringing the story to the screen.

Kumar and Shah have previously collaborated on projects in the Hindi film industry, but Samuk represents a significant shift toward science-fiction and survival action.

The film is expected to rely heavily on visual effects, creature work and elaborate action sequences. Details about the storyline and release date remain limited, keeping much of the project under wraps.

With filming now underway, Samuk is emerging as one of Akshay Kumar’s more unconventional upcoming projects and could offer audiences a different take on the Indian action thriller format.
