Al-Falah Group Chief Jawad Siddiqui’s Family Property in Mhow Booked for Illegal Construction

Action comes as Al-Falah Group faces heightened scrutiny amid Red Fort blast investigation

MP, Nov 20 : Mhow notice to Siddiqui family property amid ongoing scrutiny

The Mhow Cantonment Board in Madhya Pradesh has issued a demolition notice to the occupants and heirs of a house linked to the family of Al-Falah Group chairman Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, alleging that the structure was constructed without mandatory permissions.

Officials confirmed on Wednesday that the residents have been given three days to remove the unauthorised portion. If they fail to comply, the cantonment board will demolish the structure on its own and recover the cost from those responsible.

The action comes at a sensitive time, with Faridabad-based Al-Falah University run by the Al-Falah Group under intense scrutiny in the Delhi Red Fort blast investigation. The November 10 explosion claimed 15 lives and injured several others, leading investigators to examine individuals and entities associated with the university.

House flagged repeatedly for violations since the 1990s

Cantonment Engineer HS Kaloya said the disputed property belongs to the family of the late Moulana Hammad, father of Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui. According to the notice, the department had issued multiple communications in 1996 and 1997 under relevant sections of the Cantonments Act, 1924, directing removal of the unauthorised construction.

Those earlier instructions, officials said, were ignored.

The house, numbered 1371, is situated on survey number 245/1245 in Mhow’s Mukeri Mohalla area.

Past police action involving family member

Officials also noted that Madhya Pradesh Police recently arrested Hamood Ahmed Siddiqui, brother of Jawad Ahmed Siddiqui, from Hyderabad in connection with a decades-old financial fraud case in Mhow.
Hamood was arrested on Sunday for his alleged role in what police described as a large-scale scam dating back nearly 25 years.

Red Fort blast probe brings Al-Falah University under the scanner

The main accused in the Delhi blast, Dr Umar Un Nabi, served as an assistant professor in the general medicine department at Al-Falah University. With multiple accused reportedly linked to the institution, investigators are now scrutinising university records, financial transactions and administrative documents as part of the probe into what officials believe is a “white-collar module”.
