Mumbai, 08 November Three accused, including TV journalist Arnab Goswami arrested in the Anvay Naik suicide case, have been shifted to Taloja Jail on Sunday morning due to security reasons. In the wake of the Corona epidemic, the three accused were kept in a school retreat center (Quarantine Center) in Alibaug in Raigad district since their arrest.
Alibaug jail jailer AT Patil said on Sunday that Arnab Goswami had been shifted to Taloja jail for security reasons. After discussions with senior officials, it has been decided to shift Arnab and others to Taloja Jail.
The Raigad police arrested Arnab Goswami, Firoz Sheikh and Nitesh Sarada on Wednesday morning in the case of the suicide of interior designer Anvay Naik and his mother Kumud Naik. The three accused were sent to judicial custody for 14 days by the Alibaug CJM court. After this, the three were kept in the privacy center of a school in Alibag, from where the trio have been shifted to Taloja Jail this morning. It is likely that on Monday, the Bombay High Court may pronounce a verdict on the interim bail of the three. (HC).
