AMD AI DevDay India Showcases New Approaches to AI Development

Bengaluru event brings developers together for hands-on sessions on AI agents, LLM fine tuning and GPU powered applications

BENGALURU, Aug 8: AMD AI DevDay India 2026 brought developers, engineers and technology professionals together in Bengaluru on Saturday for technical sessions and hands on workshops focused on the rapidly evolving artificial intelligence ecosystem.

The event, held at Taj West End, featured discussions on open source AI, agentic systems, large language model fine tuning and application development using AMD hardware.

The programme included technical sessions covering PyTorch, Hugging Face, coding agents and AMD’s developer roadmap. Participants also took part in practical workshops designed to help them build and optimise AI applications.

One of the key areas explored during the event was the development of multimodal and multi-agent systems, reflecting the growing industry interest in AI tools capable of handling complex tasks with limited human intervention.

The workshops also covered LLM customisation using Unsloth, video-generation workflows through ComfyUI and the use of local AI models for software development.

AMD said the event was designed to provide practical learning opportunities for developers and technology leaders working with modern AI systems.

The one-day programme also encouraged interaction between open-source contributors, researchers, founders and developers, providing a platform for participants to explore emerging AI technologies and implementation strategies.

With AI development increasingly moving beyond conventional chatbot applications, the focus on agentic systems, specialised models and efficient computing highlighted the growing importance of developer-oriented AI infrastructure.

The event also included sessions aimed at helping participants understand how AI workloads can be profiled and optimised for improved computing efficiency.
