Purnea (Bihar), Nov 8: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Saturday launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, accusing them of being “hell-bent” on turning Bihar’s Seemanchal region into a “den of infiltrators.”
Speaking at an election rally in Purnea, Shah said the Narendra Modi government was committed to identifying and deporting all illegal immigrants in the country. “Rahul Gandhi and Tejashwi Yadav are determined to make Seemanchal a safe haven for infiltrators. But we will detect and identify every illegal immigrant, remove their names from the voters’ list, and deport them,” Shah asserted.
The Union Minister exuded confidence in the NDA’s victory in the ongoing Bihar Assembly elections, claiming that the alliance would secure over 160 seats in the 243-member Assembly. “Half of Bihar has already rejected the Congress-RJD alliance in the first phase of polling,” he said, referring to the 65.08% voter turnout recorded on November 6.
Shah also reiterated that the NDA’s development agenda, coupled with its tough stance on national security, would ensure a clear mandate in Bihar.
