Anil Kumar Singh Takes Charge as NALCO Director (Commercial)

Seasoned metals industry executive with over 35 years of experience joins Navratna PSU under the Ministry of Mines

Mumbai, Dec 08 : Anil Kumar Singh has taken over as Director (Commercial) of National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a Navratna public sector undertaking under the Union Ministry of Mines.

Before assuming his new role at NALCO, Singh served as General Manager (Materials & Contracts) and In-charge  Human Resources at Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL), a Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Mines.

Singh brings with him more than 35 years of experience in the commercial domain of the metals and mining industry, with a strong background in materials management, marketing, and large-scale contracting.

At Hindustan Copper Limited, Singh played a key role in driving the company’s expansion initiatives. His responsibilities included product marketing, policy formulation, strategic planning, and the handling of major materials, services, and works contracts. He was also responsible for storage management and quality control of copper concentrate.

Singh has held key leadership positions at both Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) and Hindustan Copper Limited, where he demonstrated expertise across frontline operations and senior management functions. His professional experience spans materials management, finalisation of major Mine Developer and Operator (MDO) contracts, marketing, and contracting functions at corporate offices.

During his tenure, Singh was actively involved in maximising procurement through the Government e-Marketplace (GeM), achieving MSME procurement targets, and framing policies in line with Government of India guidelines.
