Jammu, 07-12-2024: The General Body Meeting of the Association of Industries (Regd.) Gangyal, Jammu was held today at the Association Office, Gangyal, Jammu, as per the binding provisions of the Association Constitution after the fresh election of the office bearers for two years tenure. While welcoming the worthy members, the president of the Association of Industries (Regd.) Gangyal Sh. Virendra Jain wholeheartedly thanked them for reposing confidence in him and other elected office bearers to represent the worthy members. Sh. Virendra Jain fully assured the worthy members that no stone shall remain unturned towards the existence, well-being protection, and growth of the local micro/small sector to seek the favourable resolve towards the problems of the local micro/small sector on day to day basis.

Sh. Virendra Jain further informed that the General Body Meeting of AOI shall also be graced by the valuable presence of the worthy Director of Industries & Commerce Department Sh. Arun Manhas (JKAS) and Sh. Virender Manyal, General Manager, DIC, Jammu. Sh. Virendra Jain also informed the worthy members that the AOI representatives have already established due communication channels with all the relevant departments concerning the establishment, growth, and development of industries in the Jammu Region in particular and J&K in general. Sh. Virendra Jain further informed that AOI shall actively participate in the activities of the Federation of Industries (FOIJ), Jammu, for better projection of the problems of local micro/small Industries towards mutually acceptable & beneficial results. In addition, AOI shall also function to establish & participate together with representatives of Industrial Organizations of Kashmir.
Participating in the deliberations, worthy members assured the newly elected team their wholehearted support in AOI Endeavour to seek J&K Govt.’s attention to resolve the issues of the industrial sector. Sh. Virendra Jain assured the worthy members that his team shall strive to restoration of purchase/price Preference earlier available vide Marketing Support through J&K SICOP Central Stores and other Govt. Stores.
Sh. Virendra Jain also apprised the members that he has urged the Chief Engineer, JPDCL, for uninterrupted power supply to industrial areas to which the Chief Engineer has agreed.
Sh. Virendra Jain also apprised the members that this team has taken up the matter of dilution of the turnover incentive for the existing industrial units and requested the Govt. to sanction the turnover incentive in full ensuring the announced and declared incentive in letter and spirit. Sh. Virendra Jain also requested the Director, Industries & Commerce to take up the matter with the government and also requested that the problems that local Micro/Small industrial sector is facing be addressed on priority. Responding to the various problems projected by the members present in the meeting, Director Industries & Commerce Department assured that the Industry & Commerce Department shall fulfill its responsibility as the parent department to mitigate their problems. All efforts shall be made to seek funds and disbursal thereof of the refund on account of the Turnover incentive with the aim to recommend removal/withdrawal of Capping as envisaged in policy through the allocation of additional funds from the J&K Govt. He also assured to take up the matter pertaining to other government departments/agencies regarding time limits towards completion of their projects under the ambit of “Ease of Doing Business.” Director I&C also ensured continued the practice of interactive sessions with Association Members to bring improvement in the working conditions of the local micro/small sector.
The proceedings of the meeting were conducted by the General Secretary Sh. Sanjay Langar, which was also graced by the presence of all other office bearers, viz., Sh. S.B. Abrol, Sr. Vice Present, Sh. Sandeep Ohri, Vice President, Sh. Ajay Kumar Mahajan, Secretary, and Sh. Jatinder Singh, Treasurer.
