Armed Forces Rescue Two Critical Pregnant Women from Isolated J&K Area

On February 22, The Indian army, air force, and civil administration joined forces to evacuate two pregnant women in critical condition from the isolated Nawapachi area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir. The women were transported to Kishtwar town, where they are receiving treatment at the district hospital.

This rescue mission highlights the efforts of the Indian Army to alleviate the hardships faced by people in this challenging area, particularly during the harsh winter months when the region is cut off from the rest of the world for six months due to the closure of land routes from South Kashmir. Despite this, the armed forces have continued to provide life-saving humanitarian aid to the community in addition to conducting counter-terrorism operations in the region.

The people of the area expressed their appreciation to the Indian Army and Indian Air Force for their compassionate acts.
