As a mark of Partition horror day, BJP District Jammu South holds Silent Rally

Jammu,14 August: Ahead of the Independence Day celebration on the 76th anniversary, as a mark of the nationwide campaign Meri Matti Mera Desh and programs like ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ to mark the celebration, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District Jammu South under the leadership of its president Jammu South Rekha Mahajan observed the Partition Horrors Remembrance Day and the program is followed by” Silent Rally” which commence from BJP headquarters and concluded in the mini market, Trikuta Nagar Jammu. Rekha Mahajan stated that the Modi government has been observing August 14 as the ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’ since 2021 to remember those who sacrificed their lives during the country’s partition. The procession will be taken out across the Jammu South led by its President Rekha Mahajan in the esteem presence of BJP Senior leaders namely National Secretary Narinder Singh Raina, Ex Dy CM Kavinder Gupta, former minister Sham Lal Choudhary, former MLCs Vikram Randhawa and Sr. Charanjeet Singh Khalsa, Sanghtan Mantri Inderjeet Sharma, DDCs Gharu Ram Bhagat and Vidhya Mottan, Councillors, District General Secretaries Pushpinder Singh Charak and Akash Chopra, Naresh Singh, Neha Mahajan Programme convenor, Tarsem Sharma, Er. Rajesh Kumar, Rajesh Sharma office bearers, and volunteers besides party cadres were present on the occasion.
Senior leaders flag off a procession at 6 pm from the Party office after which all BJP cadres participated in the rally. Party leaders and workers took out a silent procession carrying the national flag in Jammu South and remember the horrors of the partition of India. BJP leaders said the partition of the country based on religion is a dark chapter in history and many people are still facing the brunt of the 1947 horror. Senior leaders Paid homage to those who lost their lives during partition, they also said that the country had to pay a heavy price for it. Today, on ‘Partition Horrors Remembrance Day’, we pay tributes to all those people who lost their lives and their family members due to the partition,” BJP senior leaders added.
