02-12-2022: A delegation of AOI, Gangyal led by its president Sh. Rajesh Jain held a meeting with Commissioner State Taxes Dr. Rashmi Singh IAS which was also attended by Addi. Commissioner, State Taxes Ms. Namrita Dogra. A threadbare discussion was held with respect to the problems being faced by the existing industry regarding budgetary support for industries.
Mr. Rajesh Jain apprised the commissioner of the non-implementation of the Govt. order No. FD• S/29/2022-03 dated: 26.04.2022 in respect of reimbursement of CGST/SGST on the basis of monthly deposit of amount without deducting the amount available in the Credit Ledger in the particular quarter by the STOs. Mr. Jain requested the commissioner to issue necessary instructions to the concerned STOs to process all those cases which have already been submitted as per the said clarification. The commissioner Madam advised the Addl. Commissioner to do the needful. A delegation also requested that under this clarification, necessary amendments in the portal may be made so as to enable unit holders to file reimbursement claims where ever the unit holders could not submit the claims due to the confusion regarding the notification which stands cleared now. It was also requested that the differential amount deducted from already settled cases may also be released as per the said clarification. The commissioner also agreed to it and assured the delegation that she will take up the matter with the concerned authorities to resolve this issue.
The delegation also requested the commissioner that clause No. 5.1 of SRO 63 with regards to delay in filing of refund claims is unnecessary a hurdle for the unit holders. The delegation submitted to the commissioner that the removal of this clause shall not put any impact on the quantum of incentives. It was also requested to the commissioner that the delay in filing their refund claims for the previous quarters may be condoned. This condonation and removal of clause 5. l of SRO 6 shall give a sigh of relief to a number of Micro and Small units which get deprived otherwise.
The commissioner advised the Addl. Commissioner to prepare a detailed note of the request of the Association of Industries, Gangyal. The commissioner also assured the Association of Industries that she will definitely look into the matter personally and shall take up the matter with higher authorities to address the problems of the existing industries.
