Jammu, 11-10-2023: An Urgent Meeting of Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA) was held today under the Presidentship of Sh. Lalit Mahajan in the presence of Sh. Tarun Singla Sr. Vice President, Sh. Ajay Langer Vice President, Sh. Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Sh. Rajesh Jain Secretary and Sh. Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA and other Members to discuss the issue regarding the unscheduled Power Cuts imposed by the SLDC Division of Power Development Department on a regular basis.
Sh. Lalit Mahajan President BBIA appreciated the directions given by Hon’ble Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha to the Officials of PDD for the supply of maximum Power supply to Smart Meter saturated Feeders and bring down the AT&C losses of these areas to Single Digit.
Department is collecting Rs. 175 Crores annual Revenues from the Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex and the Transmission Losses reported is in single digit of 6 to 8%.
Members present in the meeting draw the kind attention of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor that the Industrial Units of Bari Brahmana Industrial Areas suffering very badly due to unscheduled power cuts imposed by the SLDC wing during day and night resulting in huge production as well as financial losses to the Industrial Units working in Industrial Hub of Bari Brahmana in spite of the facts that Department is collecting Rs. 175 Crores annual Revenues from the Bari Brahmana Industrial Complex and the Transmission Losses reported is in single digit of 6 to 8%.
It is pertinent to mention here that the M&RE /System Operation and Grid Construction Wings of the JPDCL working under the able guidance of Sh. Shiv Anant Tayal (IAS), Managing Director of JPDCL trying their best to supply Uninterrupted Power Supply to the Industrial sector of Jammu but due to the negative attitude of the SLDC Wing, the Power Supply always disconnected without any intimation to concerned wings for the reason best known to the concerned officials of the SLDC resulting huge Financial Losses to the Industrial Units as well to Power Development Department as the Power supply depends on the mercy of SLDC Wing of the Power Development Department who impose frequent Power Cuts without any intimation resulting huge Financial Losses to the Unit Holders as well to the Department.
We request Hon’ble Lt. Governor Sh. Manoj Sinha, Sh. H. Rajesh Prasad (IAS), Principal Secretary, Power Development Department and Sh. Shiv Anant Tayal (IAS), Managing Director, Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Ltd. to kindly intervene in to the matter to ensure regular Uninterrupted Power Supply to Industrial Units without any unscheduled Power Cuts.
