BDC Chairman from Khag Budgam Bhupinder Singh shot dead in Central Kashmir’s Budgam

JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 23: Unknown gunmen on Wednesday shot dead Block Development Council (BDC) chairman Khag near his ancestral residence at Dalwash village in central Kashmir’s Budgam district. Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha has strongly condemned the killing of BDC Chairman from Khag Budgam,Bhupinder Singh.Bhupinder Singh succumbed to his injuries after being shot by terrorists.

The Lt Governor has expressed anguish over the killing and said that the heinous act is an attempt to spread fear and vitiate the atmosphere of peace and progress. He said there can be no justification for such attacks.

The society does not have any space for perpetrators of violence and those involved in this cowardly act shall be brought to justice, he added.

In a condolence message, the Lt Governor has conveyed his deepest sympathies to the bereaved family and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.

Advisor to Lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan has strongly condemned the brutal killing of Block Development Council (BDC) Chairman of Khag Budgam, Bhupinder Singh.

Calling it a cowardly act, the Advisor said that those behind the killing are the enemies of humanity and will be brought to book. He said that every effort will be made in bringing the culprits to justice.

The Advisor also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family members of Bhupinder Singh and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
