SRINAGAR, Oct 12: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday announced its candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections from Jammu and Kashmir.
According to party sources, Ghulam Muhammad Mir, Rakesh Mahajan, and Sat Pal Sharma have been nominated to contest for the three seats allotted to the Union Territory.
The selection of candidates, party insiders said, underscores the BJP’s strategy to maintain regional balance and further consolidate its organizational base across Jammu and Kashmir.
Party officials added that the move reflects the leadership’s emphasis on representation from diverse regions and communities, aligning with its broader political outreach in the Union Territory.
