BJP to Mark PM Modi’s Birthday and 25 Years at the Helm of Government

Youth focused initiatives to take centre stage as party launches ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’ on September 17

NEW DELHI: BJP president Nitin Nabin on Wednesday announced a month-long schedule of programmes to celebrate Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 76th birthday and mark his upcoming milestone of completing 25 years as the head of a government.

The campaign, titled ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’, will begin on September 17 and feature a range of public outreach and service oriented activities, with a strong focus on youth participation.

Unveiling the programme, Nabin highlighted several initiatives associated with the Modi government, including Khelo India, Fit India and Start-Up India, while asserting that young people continue to support the Prime Minister.

Taking a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent efforts to connect with Gen Z, the BJP chief questioned the opposition leader’s record of engaging with young Indians.

“The youth is fully behind Modi,” Nabin said, pointing to the government’s programmes aimed at promoting sports, fitness, entrepreneurship and opportunities for young people.

He also sought to contrast the BJP’s youth-oriented initiatives with Rahul Gandhi’s outreach, asking, “Where was Rahul Gandhi then?”

The month long campaign is expected to include a series of activities aimed at highlighting the government’s work and strengthening the party’s engagement with young people across the country.
