BJP’s ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ slogan another ‘Jumla’: Tony

Culprit MP makes mockery of law, enjoys BJP high command’s insulation despite FIR under POCSO Act

JAMMU: Targeting the BJP Government, Taranjit Singh Tony, Chairman Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Jammu and Kashmir for Administrative Engagement and Minority Affairs, and DDC Member Suchetgarh questioned whether the slogan of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ was merely another ‘jumla’ (gimmick) of the ‘Bharatiya Jumla Party’ as party’s MP, who is also President of Wrestling Federation of India is being sheltered despite being implicated in POCSO Act.

He said like many other serious issues, the slogan of Beti Bachao……is also a mere Jumla for the party leadership as under the government of this very party no action has been initiated against one of its member parliaments, allegedly involved in ‘heinous acts’ against national and international level women wrestlers of the country.

The senior AAP leader was speaking at the joining programme here today in which people of various political parties today joined the Aam Aadmi Party under his leadership.

Tony said that the entire BJP leadership from top hierarchy to bottom never gets tired of boasting the party and giving hype to its slogan of Beti Bachao and Beti Padao but when it comes to take action against its own party’s wrong doer member parliament who is the president of WFI, the party leadership refuses to do the same and starts shielding the accused colleague, showing the real ugly face of the party.

The senior AAP leader said BJP is all out to protect the most corrupt and history sheeter but has no regard for the daughters of the country who had brought laurels to the country by winning several bouts at international arena but are losing the legal ones in own soil due to unprincipled party, which is in power today and is helping the culprits rather than victims.

“The culprit Member Parliament makes mockery of the law as the golden girls cry for action and the whole world is looking for the Modi Government for action against the so called Member Parliament. It’s time for PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President J.P Naada to act against such malicious people, whosoever high and mighty they are in their own party the law is equal for all. BJP should be shameful for such act of the MP and he should be thrown out of the Party and the Presidential post of WFI without any further delay,” he added.

The senior AAP leader said it is the time for the people of India to wake up from the deep slumber of ‘Andh Bhakti’ and raise their voice and mount pressure on the government to ensure the arrest of the culprit implicated in the POCSO case. “Howsoever high and mighty the accused are but the laws should not differentiate”, he maintained.
