Boko Haram massacre in Nigeria, killing 110 farmers

 

30 November: The massacre of the jihadist group Boko Haram in Nigeria killed 110 farmers. This information has been provided by the United Nations Humanitarian Coordinator (UN Humanitarian Co-ordinator).

The attack took place on Saturday morning in the Zabarmani state of Borno state, northeast of Nigeria. According to media reports,  these were very brutal attacks. These laborers were first tied up and then their throats cut off.

Edward Kallan of the United Nations issued a statement saying that 110 people have been brutally killed in this incident. Many have also been badly injured in this attack.

It is notable that this traumatic incident happened near Maiduguri, the capital of Borno state. These people hunted the farmers working in the rice field. Among these people, there are many farmers who come from Sokoto State in search of work.

Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari has condemned the attack, saying that he condemns the terrorists killing working peasants in Borno State.

The whole country is saddened by these murders. Their condolences are with the families of the victims in this hour of grief. God bless the souls of dead peasants. He also said that the entire country has been hurt by these killings. (HC)
