Film industry analysts said multiple releases across action, comedy and romantic genres have performed steadily in recent months, helping multiplex chains and distributors regain confidence. Producers are now planning larger promotional campaigns and pan-India releases ahead of the festive season.
Trade experts believe audience behaviour has changed significantly, with viewers preferring event based cinema experiences and content-driven films. Streaming platforms continue to influence viewing habits, but theatres are gradually witnessing improved occupancy during weekends.
Several leading production houses are also investing heavily in regional collaborations, visual effects and international marketing strategies to expand global reach.
Industry insiders said upcoming releases featuring top Bollywood stars are expected to play a major role in sustaining momentum through the remainder of the year. Film exhibitors in major cities including Mumbai, Delhi and Bengaluru reported better advance bookings compared to last year.
Experts added that the recovery reflects renewed audience confidence and the growing demand for theatrical entertainment after years of uncertainty in the industry.
