Britney Spears Returns to Instagram, Says She’s ‘Done’ With the Lies

After a brief hiatus, the pop star opens up about reclaiming peace, addressing her past trauma, and responding to her ex-husband’s remarks.

Britain, Nov 10 : Pop icon Britney Spears has made a comeback on Instagram after briefly deactivating her account, sharing a message about self care, boundaries, and personal peace. The singer, who has faced years of public scrutiny and emotional turmoil, told fans she was now focusing on “protecting her peace.”
“So much has happened this year, it’s crazy,” Britney wrote in her latest post. “Get your ballerina slippers, circle, and own your boundaries. It’s incredibly strict and somewhat of a form of prayer, but with so many endless possibilities in life, it’s important to do you and keep it simple.”
Her return follows a period of reflection and silence on social media. Earlier, Britney had opened up about her traumatic experiences during her conservatorship, including her distressing stay in a rehab facility  details she also revealed in her 2023 memoir The Woman in Me.
“For four months, I no longer had my private door and was illegally forced not to use my feet or body to go anywhere,” she shared in a since-deleted post. “I feel like my wings were taken away and brain damage happened to me a long time ago.”
Since the end of her 13-year conservatorship in 2021, Britney has been vocal about her journey to healing and freedom, often using social media to directly connect with fans.
Recently, her ex-husband Kevin Federline sparked headlines while promoting his memoir You Thought You Knew, discussing Britney’s past struggles and her relationship with their sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James.
In response, Britney issued a sharp rebuttal, accusing Federline of “constant gaslighting” and calling his comments “extremely hurtful and exhausting.” She also expressed pain over her strained bond with her children, writing, “I have always pleaded and screamed to have a life with my boys. Relationships with teenage boys are complex. I have felt demoralised by this situation and have always begged for them to be a part of my life.”
Calling his claims “white lies,” Britney said she had “had enough.” “Any real woman would do the same,” she concluded, reaffirming her commitment to honesty and healing.
