Seoul, February 19, 2026: BTS member J-Hope celebrated his birthday in the most generous way, donating a total of 350 million won (around INR 2.1 crore) to support children, students, and animals, rather than seeking gifts.
According to BIGHIT MUSIC, 200 million won went to Asan Medical Center Hospital to enhance pediatric facilities, support home treatment for children with serious illnesses, and fund psychological healing programs. An additional 100 million won was contributed as scholarships to students at his alma mater via the Chorogusan Children’s Foundation, helping young dreamers pursue their education.
The remaining 50 million won was donated to animal protection organizations, including Animal Rescue 119 and My Love Baduk With Pets, supporting rescue and welfare activities for stray and abandoned animals. Some of these funds came from a collaboration auction with HUMAN MADE, supplemented by J-Hope’s personal contribution.
Through his agency, the rapper-dancer expressed gratitude for the opportunity to make a meaningful impact, saying he wanted to support children undergoing treatment, students chasing dreams, and animals in need. Fans and the ARMY community have celebrated the gesture as a heartfelt birthday gift to the world.
