Jammu Chamber leader lauds LG’s campaign against drug menace

Jammu, April 28: Senior Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Jammu, Anil Gupta, called on the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha, at Lok Bhawan, Jammu.

During the meeting, Mr. Gupta congratulated the Lieutenant Governor for leading a widespread and impactful campaign against drug abuse across Jammu and Kashmir. He expressed gratitude to Shri Manoj Sinha for his strong commitment towards protecting the youth from the dangerous grip of narcotics.

Mr. Gupta said that under the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir would receive greater protection, guidance and support in the fight against drugs. He added that the business community and industrial fraternity fully stand with the Lieutenant Governor in the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan and are ready to extend their cooperation for this important social cause.

He also said that the drug menace is not only a law-and-order concern, but a serious social challenge which requires the collective participation of citizens, traders, industrialists, parents, educational institutions and civil society. He appreciated the Lieutenant Governor’s efforts to turn the campaign into a people’s movement for a healthier and safer Jammu and Kashmir.

On the occasion, Mr. Gupta also invited the Lieutenant Governor to visit Shri Shiv Mandir Charitable Trust, located at Shiv Market, opposite Railway Station, Jammu. The Lieutenant Governor assured that he would visit the Trust shortly.

Anil Gupta
