Case registered against poet Munawar Rana at Hazratganj Kotwali

Lucknow, 02 November: A case has been registered against the poet Munawar Rana at Hazratganj Kotwali after a statement given about the incident in France.

According to Kotwali in-charge, the case has been registered on the complaint of Sub Inspector Deepak Kumar Pandey. He said that after perusing social media on Sunday, it was found that in an interview given to a news channel regarding the incident of cartoon and murder published in a magazine in France, poet Munawar Rana disputed the murder incident as true gave the statement. This causes disharmony, social harmony in various communities.The sub-inspector took a complaint against the poet, Munawwar Rana, in Kotwali after taking the matter seriously. After this, the police have started an investigation to register a case.

It is noteworthy that the Yogi government has taken a tough stand on the performance against France in the state. An alert has been issued from the Police Headquarters that the police should be dealt with strictly against those who committed violence and disturbance. Also, instructions have been given to increase petrol insensitive and sensitive districts.
