New Delhi, Sep 17 : The Government of India has reconstituted the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), bringing several prominent names from the Indian entertainment industry into the regulatory body.
According to reports published on September 16, the newly formed panel includes actors Suniel Shetty, Preity Zinta and Pankaj Tripathi, along with filmmaker Priyadarshan and other professionals associated with cinema, television, music, literature and theatre.
The reconstituted board is expected to play an important role in the certification of films released across India. Its membership brings together individuals with experience in different areas of the creative sector.
The inclusion of well-known performers and filmmakers has drawn attention within the industry, particularly because of the range of professional backgrounds represented on the panel.
