New Delhi, 03-03-2024 : In Maharashtra’s Nagpur, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made a significant breakthrough by arresting Arvind Kale, a General Manager and Project Director at the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), in connection with an alleged bribery case amounting to Rs 20 lakh. According to officials, Kale purportedly accepted the bribe from a private company.
In a subsequent search operation, the CBI recovered a total of Rs 45 lakh in cash, which included the alleged bribe amount. This development has led to the registration of a case against Kale and 11 others, including individuals associated with the private company implicated in the bribery scandal. The arrest underscores the CBI’s ongoing efforts to combat corruption and uphold transparency within government agencies like the NHAI.
