New Delhi, Sep 11: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner-I, Delhi (West), EPFO, while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh from a complainant.
The case was registered on September 9, 2025, after it was alleged that the accused demanded illegal gratification of Rs 3 lakh to settle RDA proceedings in favor of the complainant. Following negotiations, the official agreed to accept Rs 1.5 lakh, and the CBI laid a trap on September 10, catching him red-handed.
The accused has been apprehended, and the investigation is ongoing. The action highlights the CBI’s continued commitment to curbing corruption among public officials.
