NEW DELHI, May 7: The Central Board of Secondary Education announced a new skill-based learning framework designed to strengthen practical education and industry readiness among students.
Officials said the revised approach will place greater emphasis on vocational training, digital literacy, critical thinking and project-based assessments across secondary and senior secondary classes.
The board stated that schools will receive updated teaching guidelines and teacher training support to implement the reforms effectively.
Education experts welcomed the move, saying students need stronger real world skills to compete in a rapidly changing job market influenced by artificial intelligence and automation.
Parents and academic institutions have also expressed interest in the integration of coding, financial literacy and entrepreneurship modules into mainstream learning.
The reforms are expected to be introduced gradually across affiliated schools from the upcoming academic session.
