CBSE Announces Special Class 12 Exams for Students in West Asian Countries

Eligible students whose results were assessed through an alternative scheme will be able to appear for special examinations under the board’s revised arrangements.

New Delhi, Sep 17 : The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced arrangements for special Class 12 examinations for eligible students in West Asian countries whose results were declared through an alternative assessment process.

The decision follows directions linked to a Supreme Court order concerning students affected by the conflict in the region. The special examination will provide eligible candidates an opportunity to appear for the Class 12 board assessment under the revised arrangement.

According to the announced schedule, eligible students will be required to complete the registration process between September 22 and 26, 2026. The board has indicated that no extension will be provided beyond the specified registration period.

Schools and students concerned have been advised to carefully follow the CBSE instructions regarding eligibility, registration and examination procedures.

The arrangement is intended to address the academic concerns of students who were unable to follow the regular examination process because of circumstances affecting the region.
