NEW DELHI, Aug 24: The Central Board of Secondary Education has introduced more than 845 curriculum based virtual laboratories and digital learning resources on the DIKSHA platform to strengthen practical and interactive learning for school students.
The resources are designed to help learners explore concepts in subjects such as science and mathematics through digital experiments and simulations.
The initiative aims to complement classroom teaching by providing students with access to practical learning experiences through an online environment.
Digital tools support classroom learning
Virtual laboratories can allow students to observe experiments and understand complex concepts through interactive activities, particularly when physical laboratory facilities or equipment are limited.
The CBSE initiative integrates these resources with the curriculum, enabling teachers and students to use digital material alongside regular classroom instruction.
The availability of the resources through DIKSHA also provides schools with a common digital platform for accessing curriculum-linked educational content.
Focus on experiential education
The expansion of virtual learning tools comes as schools increasingly incorporate technology into teaching and assessment.
