Jammu, 01-08-2025: In a simple but impressive function, the Chamber of Commerce & Industry felicitated Sh. Kavinder Gupta, Hon’ble LG of Ladakh at Chamber House. The Chamber also felicitated Sh. Arvind Gupta, Hon’ble MLA, Sh. Yudhvir Sethi, Hon’ble MLA, Sh. Surinder Bhagat, Hon’ble MLA, Sh. Ashok Kaul, General Secretary BJP. While welcoming the Chief Guest Sh. Kavinder Gupta, Hon’ble LG of Ladakh Sh. Arun Gupta President Chamber of Commerce & Industry, expressed hope that under the able leadership of Sh. Kavinder Gupta, Hon’ble LG of Ladakh the bonds between the people of Jammu and Ladakh and Kargil will be further strengthen. He recalled the services rendered by Sh. Kavinder Gupta as Mayor of Jammu Municipal Corporation, Speaker J&K State Legislative Assembly and as Dy. Chief Minister of J&K State.
Sh. Arun Gupta further said that now the responsibilities of Sh. Kavinder Gupta as Hon’ble LG of Ladakh have increased manifold. He is well aware about the difficulties / issues being faced by the People of Jammu and requested him to take up these issues with the Union Government for their early redressal.
Sh. Kavinder Gupta in his brief address thanked Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu. He expressed hope that Chamber of Commerce & Industry Jammu being the voice of Business Community of Jammu will ensure better coordination between the traders of Jammu with their counterparts of Kargil and Leh.
He further said that his main thrust will be speedy development of tourism of Ladakh region and for the betterment of people of Leh and Kargil. He also said that efforts will be made to start the Amarnath Yatra next year from Ladakh route and Zojila Tunnel connectivity project shall be given top priority.
