JAMMU, SEPTEMBER 29: An awareness camp on Poshan Abhiyan was today organized here in the Christian Colony area by CDPO Jammu, Akanksha Kalsotra.
The camp was organized as part of the ongoing Poshan Mah (1 -30 September).
Deputy Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation, Purnima Sharma; Corporator Ward No. 5; Gopal Gupta, Medical Officer ICDS Dr. Rimpy Sangral, Ex. MLA Rajesh Gupta and other officials of the ICDS Project were present.
The CDPO delivered a special lecture on a balanced diet and the significance of local regional food.
Deputy Mayor JMC also spoke on the occasion and lauded the efforts of the ICDS team, which has organized several such outreach camps in different areas.
A special lecture on Anaemia prevention was delivered by Dr. Rimpy. Growth Monitoring of children was also conducted.
Medical supplements and nutrition kits were distributed among pregnant ladies and nursing mothers.
