Jammu, 18-12-2023 : Mr. Archit Puri, Chairman of the CII Jammu & Kashmir, along with other members of the Council recently participated In an Interaction with Industry Associations/Trade Bodies chaired by Mr. Atal Dulloo, IAS, Chief Secretary, J&K.
During this significant gathering, Mr. Archit Puri expressed his gratitude to Mr. Atal Dulloo for extending the invitation to the CII and allowing them the opportunity to engage in constructive discussions surrounding pertinent issues and suggestions relevant to the Industrial sector.
Various critical topics were deliberated upon at length during the meeting, including Market support to local msme units/purchase preference, Removal of Mustard Oil from Negative List, Disbursement of Incentives of J&K Unit Holders, Delayed SGST Claims and Lengthy Process of Hotel Registrations in J&K. In addition to these concerns, Mr. Puri drew attention to the problems faced by the MSME in operating their business in the UT of J&K.
There were various other issues related to the State Government Incentives disbursement, Land Allocation to the new Industries, Local Industries Hand Holding, Substantial expansion, and allowing industries to manufacture different products with the existing Machineries that were discussed in the meeting.
The meeting was attended by the heads of various Industry Associations and Trade Bodies of J&K. This collaborative effort aimed to address critical issues and drive initiatives to support the growth and development of the Industrial sector in the Union Territories of Jammu and Kashmir.
