CIK Raids Multiple Locations Across Kashmir in Cyber Terror Case

Crackdown targets mule accounts allegedly linked to cyber fraud and terror funding; 15 locations searched in Srinagar alone

Srinagar, Jan 7: The Counter Intelligence wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday conducted coordinated raids at multiple locations across the Kashmir Valley in connection with an ongoing cyber terror investigation, officials said.

As part of a major crackdown on so-called mule accounts bank accounts allegedly used to facilitate cyber fraud and terror financing the Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) intensified its operations to dismantle financial networks supporting unlawful activities.

Officials said searches were carried out at 22 locations across the Valley, including 15 locations in Srinagar city, as investigators tightened the noose around individuals suspected of enabling cyber-based terror funding.

Further details regarding the operation and possible seizures were awaited.
