Srinagar, Nov 22: A coordinated multi agency mock exercise was conducted at Jammu Airport to assess the operational readiness and emergency response capability of security and support agencies, officials said on Friday.
The drill saw the joint participation of the CISF, Special Operations Group (SOG) of J&K Police, Indian Air Force, Airports Authority of India (AAI), J&K Fire & Emergency Services, GMC medical team, AAI Fire Services, and the CISF Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) along with its Dog Squad.
Officials said the exercise was aimed at strengthening inter-agency coordination, evaluating standard response procedures, and enhancing preparedness for real-time emergency scenarios at the airport. The mock drill enabled participating agencies to test their communication, decision-making, and crisis-handling mechanisms in a controlled environment.
