JAMMU, July 23: J&K is witnessing an unprecedented civic infrastructure building spree with lanes, drains, roads, etc getting a facelift through Smart City projects under the development-oriented BJP Government led by PM Narendra Modi.
This was stated by senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta after inaugurating the lane and drain works in the Jammu Cantonment locality falling in Ward No. 2.
Kavinder said that J&K is witnessing a development works spree with cities, towns, and villages getting rejuvenated through government focus without any prejudice between urban hamlets and rural pockets. He said that the works and public welfare initiatives of the Modi Government are testimony to the fact that progress is taking place across the J&K with the keen interest shown by the government functionaries in the comfort and convenience of the people who remained deprived of workable public infrastructure for decades together under the phlegmatic regimes that ruled the erstwhile state of J&K in the past.
The senior BJP leader said that the Modi Government has liberated J&K from the clutches of dynastic politicians and now it is the solemn responsibility of the people of the region to politically reject those entities which were responsible for their exploitation in the last several decades as they were more concerned for securing the future of their clans and company.
Kavinder said that the Assembly elections are on cards and people should extend whole-hearted support to BJP for ensuring persistent and colossal development in the region as there are many projects of great importance that are yet to be completed in the coming time and a double engine government can play a vital part in realizing these development modules which can help in making the UT a model unit in the country.
