CJI Surya Kant Accorded Traditional Ladakhi Welcome Ahead of Court Complex Inaugurations

Chief Justice to inaugurate judicial infrastructure and attend legal outreach programmes in Leh and Kargil

Leh, Mar 27: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant received a traditional welcome in Ladakh on Friday, marked by vibrant participation from members of various local tribes.

According to officials, Justice Kant was introduced to the region’s diverse tribal heritage upon arrival and was honoured with a ceremonial guard of honour.

As part of his visit, the Chief Justice is set to inaugurate a newly constructed court complex at Melong Thang in Leh. He will also take part in a legal awareness programme at the Sindhu Sanskriti Kendra, aimed at promoting access to justice and legal literacy.

The visit will continue in Kargil, where Justice Kant is scheduled to inaugurate another court complex. His itinerary also includes visits to several rural areas across the Union Territory as part of his official engagements.
