Jammu, Jan 12: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday walked from his residence to the Deputy Commissioner’s Office in Jammu to chair a scheduled administrative review meeting, officials said.
The move drew attention as the CM chose to travel on foot rather than using his official convoy, signalling a hands on approach to governance.
The review meeting focused on ongoing development works and public service delivery in the Jammu region. Senior civil and police officers were present as key administrative issues were discussed.
Officials confirmed that the meeting proceeded as planned, with the Chief Minister taking stock of the situation and issuing necessary directions for effective administration.
