New Delhi, Sep 29: Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him on the development projects and public welfare measures undertaken by her government over the past one and a half years.
Gupta assumed office as Delhi chief minister after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) secured a majority in the Assembly elections held in February, ending the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) tenure in the city government.
The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) said in a post on X that Gupta called on Modi on Tuesday.
According to the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), Gupta presented the prime minister with a booklet detailing key development initiatives and welfare programmes implemented by the Delhi government during the last 18 months.
Gupta said her meetings with Modi provided fresh motivation for her to continue working towards public service.
She said the prime minister’s guidance strengthened her commitment to serving the people and advancing the vision of “Viksit Delhi” in alignment with the broader goal of “Viksit Bharat”.
The Delhi chief minister also thanked Modi for his time and guidance, according to the CMO.
