Commemorative Coins and Stamps Honouring RSS Now Available for Online Purchase

Government launches special edition collectibles celebrating a century of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s service, unity, and nation building

New Delhi, Oct 11: The Government of India has released special commemorative coins and stamps to mark the 100th anniversary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), one of the country’s most influential socio-cultural organisations.

The coins, issued by the Kolkata Mint, are now available for purchase online through the official website indiagovtmint.in
. The commemorative stamps, launched alongside the coins, can be obtained at Philately Bureaus across India, offering collectors and citizens an opportunity to own a piece of this historic milestone.

Announcing the launch, the Office of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman shared a post on X, stating:

“To commemorate 100 years of the foundation of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the Government of India has released special commemorative coins and stamps, honouring a century of service, unity, and dedication.”

The initiative has been widely welcomed as a fitting tribute to the RSS, which was founded in 1925 by Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar. Over the past century, the organisation has played a pivotal role in promoting national unity, discipline, social welfare, and education, as well as providing relief during disasters.

The release of these commemorative items underscores the government’s recognition of the RSS’s century-long contribution to India’s social and cultural landscape. The coins and stamps are expected to be highly sought after by collectors and supporters, symbolising not only appreciation for the organisation’s work but also its enduring spirit of service and patriotism.

As the RSS enters its next century, these commemorative releases stand as a testament to its continuing mission to foster unity, selfless service, and nation-building across generations.
