In a recent development, Jitendra Singh has been appointed as the General Secretary of the Assam Pradesh Congress Committee on Friday, as per an official statement the party said. Notably, Jitendra Singh replaces Harish Rawat as the new general secretary. He is among few from Assam to get significant responsibilities in the Congress’ major reshuffle as its office-bearers.
On Friday, Congress President Sonia Gandhi appointed new general secretaries and heads of the All India Congress Committee.
