Jammu, April 18: A senior-level Congress delegation led by AICC national general secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Syed Naseer Hussain held a crucial meeting with Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at his residence in Jammu on Friday, focusing on the evolving political dynamics in the Union Territory.

Accompanied by AICC general secretary and former J&K Pradesh Congress Committee president Ghulam Ahmad Mir and the current JKPCC chief Tariq Hameed Karra, the Congress leaders engaged in an in-depth dialogue with Abdullah, who also heads the National Conference. The leaders described the interaction as constructive and aligned with the broader objectives of alliance coordination.

According to party sources, the meeting primarily revolved around the ongoing political situation in Jammu and Kashmir, with a special emphasis on strengthening the INDIA bloc alliance at the grassroots level and ensuring seamless cooperation between coalition partners. The leaders discussed key challenges ahead of the upcoming elections, electoral preparedness, and issues concerning regional stability and development.

The Congress leaders reiterated their commitment to working closely with their alliance partner, the National Conference, in ensuring a united front against divisive forces and advocating for the constitutional rights and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
